This highly collectable Victorian Scottish Silver bow brooch is Circa 1900.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid 1800s.
The wonderful bow displays colourful inlaid Scottish agates, in a lovely plaid design.
Agate is a strong mineral sometimes known as the earth rainbow for it’s patterned texture that shows varying colours the earth can produce.
Each Agate is unique with beautiful natural colouring and polished to perfection.
The brooch is all set in Silver and fitted with a pin and C-catch.
This is a wonderful collectable Scottish piece that would look beautiful displayed on a lapel.
